The Mawcroft Club
Membership Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: 17/08/2026

Company: The Mawcroft Group Limited (Company Number: 17225030)

Trading Name: The Mawcroft Club

1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions govern membership of The Mawcroft Club ("the Club", "we", "us", "our").

The Mawcroft Club is a membership community for ambitious professionals, designed to facilitate small, intentional gatherings across the Club's groups in Cheshire and beyond.

By becoming a member, you agree to these Terms.

2. Membership Structure

Membership is available on the following basis:

£75 per month, paid in advance, or

£750 per year, paid in advance

Membership provides unlimited access to standard Mawcroft Club events across all active groups.

From time to time the Club may offer discounted or promotional membership rates to specific individuals or cohorts (for example, at launch), at the Club's sole discretion. Any such rate applies to the first membership year only and is non-transferable. Annual memberships taken at a discounted or promotional rate do not renew automatically. Continued membership following the first year requires a new payment, which the Club will arrange directly with the member, at the Club's then-current standard rate unless otherwise agreed in writing.

3. Applications & Event Access

3.1 Membership applications are reviewed by the Club prior to acceptance. No payment link will be issued, and no payment is due, unless and until an application has been approved.

3.2 Approval of an application does not create a binding membership agreement until payment has been received; the Club reserves the right to withdraw an offer of membership prior to payment.

3.3 Once accepted, members may attend any standard Mawcroft Club event at any of the Club's active groups, without needing to book onto each individual event, unless the Club states otherwise for a specific event. Additional experiences under Section 3.7 are not included and are charged separately.

3.4 Access to events is subject to availability and capacity limits. Where an event is expected to be at or near capacity, the Club may require members to register or book in advance, and will notify members accordingly.

3.5 Where registration or booking is required for a specific event, entry is not guaranteed without it.

3.6 The Club may communicate event details, updates, and any registration requirements via its designated communication channels, details of which will be provided to members upon joining. The Club reserves the right to update its communication methods and will notify members accordingly.

3.7 From time to time the Club may offer additional experiences beyond standard events. These experiences are not included in membership and will be charged separately. Participation is entirely optional. Details and pricing will be communicated to members in advance.

3.8 Members may invite one guest to attend a single Mawcroft Club event free of charge, on a one-time basis per guest, arranged through the inviting member in advance. Guests attend at the discretion of the Club and are subject to event capacity under Section 4. The inviting member is responsible for their guest's conduct, and Sections 8.2, 8.4 and 10 apply equally to guests as to members.

4. Event Capacity

4.1 All events operate with defined capacity limits to preserve quality and experience.

4.2 Once an event reaches capacity, no further bookings will be accepted.

4.3 The Club reserves the right to manage attendance levels to ensure appropriate venue conditions and member experience.

4.4 Where applicable, a waitlist may be offered at the Club's discretion.

5. Payments & Renewals

5.1 Membership fees are charged in advance via the Club's designated payment provider, following approval of an application as set out in Section 3.

5.2 Monthly memberships are billed on a recurring basis and renew automatically on the same date each month until the member cancels in accordance with Section 7.

5.3 Annual memberships, including at any discounted or promotional rate, are paid as a single upfront payment and do not renew automatically. Continued membership beyond the initial term is at the Club's discretion and requires a new payment, which the Club will arrange directly with the member ahead of the renewal date.

5.4 Where membership is paid upfront for a full year, this payment is treated as a single non-refundable transaction covering the full membership term.

5.5 For monthly memberships, members will not receive a separate reminder before each automatic monthly charge. It is the member's responsibility to cancel prior to the next billing date if they do not wish to continue.

5.6 Failure of payment may result in suspension of membership and access to events.

5.7 All membership fees are non-refundable except as set out in Section 6 (statutory cancellation rights) or otherwise required by law.

6. Your Right to Cancel (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013)

6.1 If you are a consumer, you have a statutory right to cancel your membership within 14 days of the date your agreement begins ("the cancellation period"), without giving any reason, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. For annual and launch memberships, if your first available gathering at your home group falls after the 14th day, the Club will extend your cancellation period until the date of that gathering, so you always have the opportunity to attend at least one gathering before this right expires.

6.2 To cancel within the cancellation period (including any extension applied under Section 6.1), you must inform the Club of your decision by a clear written statement, for example by email to membership@themawcroftclub.co.uk.

6.3 By completing payment and confirming your application, you expressly request that the Club begin providing membership services, including access to events, immediately and before the cancellation period has ended.

6.4 If you cancel during the cancellation period after membership services have begun at your request, you acknowledge that the Club may deduct an amount proportionate to the services already provided up to the point you notify the Club of cancellation, calculated by reference to the total membership fee.

6.5 If you cancel during the cancellation period before making use of any membership services, you will receive a full refund.

6.6 This statutory right to cancel, including any extension applied under Section 6.1, is separate from, and unaffected by, the Club's own terms on ending your membership set out in Section 7.

7. Ending Your Membership

7.1 Members may cancel their membership at any time by notifying the Club in writing to membership@themawcroftclub.co.uk.

7.2 Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds will be issued for unused time within that period.

7.3 Membership fees for the current billing period remain due and payable upon cancellation, regardless of attendance or usage.

7.4 Annual memberships are non-refundable once commenced, unless required by law, including under Section 6.

7.5 The Club reserves the right to cancel or suspend a membership at any time in cases of misconduct or breach of these Terms, including the conduct standards set out in Section 8. In such cases, no refund will be issued for the remaining period.

8. Membership Conduct

8.1 Membership is generally for individual use only and is non-transferable. Where the Club expressly agrees to an organisational membership, the organisation may nominate representatives to attend events on its behalf. One representative may attend under an organisational membership at any one time. The organisation may nominate different representatives from time to time, subject to the Club's prior approval. An organisational membership does not permit more than one representative to attend the same event at the same time unless otherwise agreed by the Club.

8.2 Members are expected to behave respectfully and in a manner consistent with the ethos of the Club at all times.

8.3 The Club reserves the right to refuse entry to, or revoke the membership of, any member in breach of Section 8.2, without liability to refund, as set out in Section 7.5.

8.4 The Club may take photographs and video at events for use in the Club's marketing, social media, website, and internal records. By attending an event, you agree that you may appear in such photographs or video, unless you have notified the Club in advance or on the day that you do not wish to be photographed or filmed. Further detail on how this data is used is set out in the Club's Privacy Policy.

9. Changes to the Club

9.1 The Club may evolve over time, including additional groups, event format changes, and updates to booking or communication methods.

9.2 Any material changes to membership structure or fees will be communicated in advance where possible.

10. Limitation of Liability

10.1 The Club is not liable for indirect or consequential loss of any kind, including but not limited to missed attendance due to technical issues, venue changes, or personal circumstances.

10.2 The Club's responsibility is limited to providing access to scheduled events, subject to availability.

10.3 The Mawcroft Club is a social and professional membership community. We do not facilitate, broker, or endorse any business arrangements, transactions, or agreements between members. The Club accepts no responsibility or liability whatsoever for the outcome of any business dealings, commercial arrangements, referrals, or professional relationships that arise, directly or indirectly, from introductions or interactions made through the Club or its events.

10.4 Members engage in any business or commercial activity with other members entirely at their own risk.

11. Data Protection

11.1 The Club processes member data in accordance with its Privacy Policy, available at themawcroftclub.co.uk, which forms part of these Terms.

12. Governing Principles

The Mawcroft Club is built on principles of intention over scale, quality over quantity, and connection over volume. These principles guide how the Club is operated and developed over time.

13. Governing Law

13.1 These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

14. Acceptance of Terms

By purchasing membership, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
